This is to see how people would really react to a zombie situation I am basing this on slow zombies with lickers and other RE creatures. I would proabably at first lock down my house, it being made from brick and having few windows, the doors are thick red wood and have deadbolts on them, I would barricade my back padio barricading the door and the window there. The from padio I would just have to put somthing heavy on the stairs to block it, since the padio is seven feet off the ground (Yes tall house) I would then arm myself with my mom's. boyfriend's shotgun loading it, and grabbing all the extra ammo. I would instruct my family to hold the house and I would take me mom's car down to my friend carlos' house picking him up, having waited long enough that most people had moved to the main exit of the town oposite of the way I was coming. After picking him up I would move down the road to a crocery store (friendmands) driving through the glass sliding doors (wide enough cause they bring a car in there every other mounth for a raffle) I would load up on food supplies there, after that was done I would take off down the street to the gun store (Which my friend owns) Going in the back door with a key he gave me to his housing part, I would have him open the door to gun shop, if he is not there I would beat the door down using the eighteen lb. sledge hammer in my mom's trunk. After gaining access I would begin to load the car full of weaponry and ammo, use the phone ther to call more of my friend (Trish & Steeve, who are a couple both around 32-35 Steve being a computer genius and trish being a doctor. I would also call my friends Andrew, Shane, my grandmother/Great Aunt and last, but not least my Grandfather who is a ex-marine.) All of these people serve a purpose otherwise they would not be coming along (It's war, those who can not be usefull die) I would then go back to the house loading up my sister's car with items from the house including our two portable generators and drive to the intermediate high school going through the back door that I have..."Aquired" a key to (Yes I stole a key to the school) After unloading everything I would set up to blocking the doors (Which are actually bullet proof) with boards and metal from the shop classes. I would lock certain doors til there were only a few open area and set patrols and get a scheduale set up for when we go out to get food. I would be blocking off all the class rooms with windows, well all windowed areas. First Floor: Second Floor need to find pic, also you can use this as the towns highschool

Some good ideas there.
You need to find somewhere with only two exits, you'd need plenty of supplies but make sure you choose the right supplies as some products do go off. Powdered potato and that sort of thing, cause you dont know how long your gonna be there until someone comes to get you to safety - the military for instance.
Once you have secured a good place to hide-out - make it a rule that no-one tries to leave the house unless its an emergency.
The next thing to do would be to create some sort of light signal to show that there are survivors in your household or wherever you are.

I disagree with that last aprt somewhat, I would not just let anyone in, I would make sure they would be usefull for somthing, maybe computers, cooking, welding or better yet a good shot or medical training.
If they were just a handfull of bankers for example with little kids they would be useless, I would tell them to move along. I know it is cruel, but what is the point of wasting suppliess on people who not only can't help, but need to be protected which ties up more people that could be on control.

You can make useless people useful. Make them know the situation and what you need from them while they are "under" your protection aka your roof. See where Im coming from?

Yes I see where you are coming from, what I am worried about is that you keep lettin people in, they take up more supplies, making you go out to gather supplies more often, which draws attention to you and your position.
As all this gos on it takes one, one single mistake for everything to go bad by someone letting down their guard or accidentally leaving open a door you use for shipping or loading somthing bad or getting infected, hell all those people raises the chance that someone in your group will snap and go crazy, that's what I am worried about, I will help people if I can, but I am not the most trusting person.

Posting on behalf of my character 'Cliff Barnes': I understand, its always a strength to clearly think out the situation through before letting too many interferences get in the way, anyway.
Doubt anything like this could possibly happen, being a pretty interesting way for an armageddon though, seems like a bit of a boring way to go out, the whole comet hitting the earth again theory.

Not much you could do there, maybe try to figure out any safe zones, maybe stock up on decades woorth of supplies and go underground that is about all you can really do xD

Supplies are they key resource in zombie horror films and movies... as well as text RPG's. I see what both of you are saying and here are the parts that I agree with.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----DAVID YOUNG -Useless people use more resorces. (Food, water, room) ---This reminds me about a song, "20 people all happy on an island. Then the food runs out, and out comes the guns. 20 people on an island, ten gotta go." -Too many people can cause conflicts -Saving Kids (eh, they can be useless and resorce consuming... but are you human...)
-----CLIFF BARNES -Useless people can be put to work; they might not chose to after you let them in and possibly give them a gun. -I disagree that is impossible.

The main plan for any zombie movie is to ensure you don't run out food before the zombies do... but considering how many people there are in the world and how desnly populated most places are there is no doubt that it didn't matter how much you stocked up humans food sources would run out before the zombies did.

I made this game in the same way I see Zombie films such as Dawn of the Dead (New and original), City of the Dead (old movie), Land of the Dead, Resident Evil 1 & 2, 28 Days Later & even the video game Rising Dead.
I made the game so it would be based in one city which you could not escape because of dense traffic which had paused along highways in large pil-up wrecks and so on, making it impossible for anyone to drive a car to another city and walking there would be impossible because hell knows how many zombies are on the way.
I also based the zombies expiry to last decades until rigor mortis had turned them into nothing but a skeleton, this way the game could not possibly end with the zombies dieing of hunger.

Wouldn't the key part of the zombies life be dead. Now I know that destroying the brain or removing of the head kills them, or so it says. But, I mean if their body has rotten away as well as the skin and stuff. That would mean that the brain would be even more exposed to diseases and rot. I think that skeleton based zombies would easily die on their own due to brain rot. Correct me if I'm wrong... or am I thinking about it too much.

Like I also said, they do start to slow down. By the time they rot down to the skeleton they would technically be dead. But they die and become slower gradually up to that point.
They live just about as long as the brain does and the brain does take a hell of a long time to rot away on its own especially in a closed skull unless its eaten by bugs or like you said disease, such as the one they already have. If you watch the movie Day of the Dead you will see their example of the brain still functioning until the very core has deminished which means they do not need anything other than the core part of their brain which the scientist also mentions in the movie contains their core instincts which are located in some gland in the brain I cant remember the name of.
The core is only about 20% of the whole brain and connects off the spinal cord or some shit.
Also I thought I would allow semi skeleton zombies cause I have seen them in a few zombie flicks, one off a recent movie is Land of the Dead its that real old looking lady zombie you see at the beginning that moves real slow as she looks up at the fireworks. She only really seems to stand in the spot where as all the more recently turned looking zombie seem to wander around aimlessly and always seem to be moving.
I wouldn't say zombies in this game turn into straight up skeletons in this as they would still need their joints to be able to stand up correctly and if they couldn't stand would need the joints in their elbows to crawl. Zombies could get to the stage where they are moving incredibly slow and almost resemble a skeleton after the muscle begins to rot under their leathery skin and the flesh from their skull starts to crack apart.
We shouldn't be posting this here anyway, this was a question as to what to do if we were personally in this sort of situation. This was more something to go to the query board.

Erm,well I wpuld probably panic. But if I didn't panic,t his is probably what I would do. Arm myself with a kitchen knife and the sword that my Uncle brought home from Africa. I would probably make up some Holy water (No, I am not christain, but most religions use holy water to purify evil things) I would also use alot of salt. Salt is supposed to melt the zombies, but I don't know if that actually works. Infact, who does know that it works? I would then barracade the doors and windows, hoping that the zombies don't get in through my double sliding windows. If they do, I'll get my cousins shot gun and blow their heads off. That's how you kill a zombie, Isn't it?

Lol, nice.
Ok holy water and salt wont work in this game and you probably wouldn't want to bet on them if zombies were real, but a shotgun shell to the head will do nicely in any situation.

Melt... never heard of that before. Or the holy water on zombies. Where'd you get that from?
